Consultation on a Proposed Resourced Provision for Pupils with Autism at King’s Academy Bay House, Gosport
King’s Academy Bay House, working in partnership with Hampshire County Council, is seeking views on a proposal to establish a Resourced Provision (RP) for pupils with Autism at the school. The consultation will run from Monday 10 November 2025 to Monday 1 December 2025.
The proposed Resourced Provision would offer up to 15 places, introduced in phases over three years, with five new pupils admitted to Year 7 each year from the 2026/27 academic year. The provision would provide specialist support for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifying Autism as their primary need. Pupils would spend time in a dedicated base as well as in mainstream classes, depending on their individual needs. The project will include adaptations to existing spaces on the main site and at The Link on Military Road, including new classrooms and expanded external areas to support the provision.
A drop-in session will be held at King’s Academy Bay House on Tuesday 25 November 2025 between 3.30 pm and 6.00 pm. Representatives from Hampshire County Council and school leaders will be available to discuss the proposal and answer questions.
