Headteacher’s Message

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

It is with immense pleasure that I welcome you to King’s Academy Bay House and King’s Academy Bay House Sixth Form.

Our commitment is to deliver an exceptional education, driven by our bold mission: to secure ‘Opportunity and Success on a Global Stage‘ for every member of our community. We are dedicated to providing the knowledge, skills, and character development needed to thrive anywhere in the world.

This ambitious mission is built upon the foundation of our three core values: Honesty, Courage, and Faith. These values shape the ethos of happiness, success, and safety that thrives in every corner of our Academy.

  • Honesty – We prioritise behaviours that promote transparency and truthfulness, always seeking what is best for all at KABH. We debate ideas openly and are not afraid to recognise mistakes, understanding that they are essential for learning and growth. This culture of open honesty ensures everyone feels happy, successful, and safe, able to express their thoughts and ideas without fear.
  • Courage – We instil the courage needed to face challenges head-on and adapt. This means we embrace diversity and champion inclusivity, creating a truly welcoming place. We demonstrate courage by engaging fully with feedback through resilience and self-regulation, and by being happy to ask questions when we are not sure. This is how we push beyond our perceived limits.
  • Faith – We hold an unwavering belief in the difference we can all make. Faith underpins our culture of safety; we are trusting and respectful to our whole community, making it safe to share concerns and make mistakes. We encourage others through kindness to have faith in their own abilities, knowing that resilience and self-regulation will fuel their curiosity and exploration.

Go Beyond Spring into Action!

Our Year 7 Go Beyond students recently took part in a fantastic beach litter pick alongside the Mayor of Gosport, Councillor Kirsten Bradley.

The Go Beyond programme is our bespoke personal development journey, where year 7 pupils work towards their award by completing three key areas:
- Community – making a positive impact locally while building life skills
- Challenge – stepping outside their comfort zone on residential experiences
- Commitment – developing new skills over time

This beach clean was a perfect example of the Community element in action. Our students showed real dedication to caring for their local environment and demonstrated what it means to be active, responsible members of the community. Small actions like these make a big difference, helping to protect our coastline and strengthen local pride.

A huge thank you to all the students involved for their hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment — you’ve made us proud!

Join Our Team - We are excited to share two fantastic opportunities at King’s Academy Bay House.

Resourced Provision Manager (with Whole School Responsibility for Transition)

We are looking for a skilled and motivated practitioner to play a central role in the day-to-day running of our Autism Resourced Provision. Alongside this, you will lead on Year 7 transition across the school, building strong relationships with feeder primaries and ensuring all pupils—especially those with SEND—experience a smooth and supportive move to secondary school.
Both roles offer a unique opportunity to shape inclusive education and make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Polite Reminder

We have recently received a number of concerns from local residents regarding inconsiderate parking during drop-off and collection times.

We understand these periods can be busy, but we kindly ask everyone to act with care and respect for our neighbours. Please ensure that:

- Driveways are not blocked
- Pavements and restricted areas (including double yellow lines) are kept clear
- Access is maintained for emergency and service vehicles at all times

As a school, we are committed to maintaining positive relationships within our community. Your cooperation is essential in helping us achieve this and in keeping everyone safe.
