Hot Chocolate Friday - Congratulations

Today’s celebration was made extra special as we were joined by Nick Cross, CEO of King’s Group Academies, to recognise some truly outstanding students!

This week’s group showed exactly what it means to demonstrate our school values—endeavour, self-regulation, and academic excellence. Some of the highlights included:

✅ 100% attendance in Years 8 and 9
✅ Going above and beyond on homework tasks
✅ Impeccable punctuality
✅ Repeatedly winning our business crosswords challenge
✅ And one student who we are especially proud of for showing incredible resilience in handling a difficult situation in school

These students continue to impress us with their effort and attitude every day. Well done to all—and enjoy your well-earned hot chocolate! ☕👏 #HotChocFriday #Proud #StudentSuccess #KGAValues

🌍 Bay House at the Solent Model United Nations! 🌍

Students from Bay House joined Cams Hill, Crofton, and Swanmore to take part in the Solent Model United Nations Conference! Almost 60 pupils stepped into the shoes of world leaders, representing different countries and debating critical global issues—including climate change, the Gaza-Israel conflict, LGBTQ+ rights, and gender inequality.

Sixth former Will Quinn, Secretary-General of the Conference, shared his inspiration:
"When my father was deployed on a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Somalia in 2013, he saw firsthand how important it is for countries to work together to solve the world’s problems. The pupil delegates certainly proved this too today, with their impressive preparation, powerful ideas, and incredible collaboration.”

Pupils debated in key councils, including the Security Council, Women’s Council, Human Rights Council, and UNEP, demonstrating diplomacy, critical thinking, and teamwork.

The conference will return next spring—so if you’re in Years 7-10 and want to take part, stay tuned! ✨👏 #ModelUN #StudentLeadership #BayHouse
