We’re on the lookout for a hands-on, reliable Estates Assistant to join our hardworking site team. If you take pride in practical work, love fixing things, and want to be part of a school community, this could be the perfect role for you.

What the job involves:

  • Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs around the school.
  • Keeping our buildings, classrooms, and grounds clean, safe and well-presented.
  • Supporting with security, setting up spaces for school events, and monitoring the site.
  • Assisting with health and safety checks and ensuring everything runs smoothly day to day.

 Who we’re looking for:

  • Someone practical, dependable and physically fit for an active role.
  • A problem-solver who’s happy to get stuck in, whether it’s a leaky tap or a squeaky door.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, but not essential – training can be provided.

Contract : Permanent

Start date : 2026 on completion of safe recruitment procedures

Hours : 37 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Working pattern:  Regular evening and weekend work as part of a shift pattern  will be required.

Salary range : Band 5 Pt 7-9 and salary £26,061 to £27,363 (full time equivalent) plus 14% shift allowance will be applied

Closing date :  20 January 2026

This is a highly rewarding and challenging role, working with pupils in our school. We are seeking individuals who are supportive, patient, positive, flexible, and emotionally available.

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will:

  • Build trusting relationships by encouraging and supporting pupils in a respectful, non-judgmental manner

  • Work with students in class, small groups, and on a one-to-one basis

  • Support pupils with a wide range of SEND needs, including Cognition and Learning, Communication and Interaction, Physical and Sensory Needs, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)

  • Provide tailored support, from mobility and access to resources, to helping students regulate emotions and engage with learning

We would be particularly interested in your application if you:

  • Understand how children develop, think and learn

  • Create safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments

  • Can collaborate with teachers and the SENCo to implement Learning Plans

  • Are passionate about helping every student achieve beyond expectations

  • Are confident with IT and recognise the role of technology in learning

  • Have strong communication skills and can provide feedback to staff and parents/carers

  • Are committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing

  • Have high aspirations for all pupils and determination to see them succeed

  • Can nurture pupils’ enjoyment of school and life

  • Bring enthusiasm, positivity, and a good sense of humour
