Governance
King’s Academy Bay House Local Governing Body
King’s Academy Bay House is part of the King’s Group Academy chain. The Governors of the school, are delegated powers, by the Trust Board to oversee governance at a local level, on behalf of the main Trust Board.
The Chair of Governors is Mrs Jean Morgan (jmorgan@governor.kgahampshire.uk)
The Vice Chair of Governors is Ms Sara Heaysman (sheaysman@governor.kgahampshire.uk)
Our Governors aim to work in conjunction with parents/carers, staff and other stakeholders of the school to exercise a local form of governance that is responsive and reflects the voice of the community we serve. The Local Governing Body is a team of people who work closely with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team to make key decisions to enable the successful running of the school and ensure that it delivers high-quality education.
The Local Governing Bodies (LGBs) of the academies report to the Board under the terms of our Scheme of Delegation. The areas of focus for LGBs are standards, safeguarding and stakeholder engagement.
