Information for Employers
The purpose of our Careers programme is to enable young people to make informed choices and prepare them for the world of work – ultimately this provides a talent pipeline for business and industry.
We work in partnership with employers to ensure that we prepare students to be effective and successful when they enter the workplace. We have a network of employers, both local and national, who provide valuable support for our Careers programme and involve employers in larger events for students and parents. Employers also offer workplace visits or work experience, and we are looking to develop Lunch and Learn sessions and to introduce mock interviews and business networking events.
Current awareness of employer requirements, industry needs and skills gaps is fundamental to us producing effective plans and opportunities for our students, so working in partnership is key.
We are keen to hear from businesses, both large and small, who would like to offer support as we further develop our Careers programme. If you would like to work with us and share your experience, or may be interested in taking on an apprentice, please contact our Head of Careers and Futures, Nicki Craven, at ncraven@kgabayhouse.uk.
