Knowledge Organisers

Knowledge Organisers (KOs) are there to support your learning in class, revision at home and the completion of specific homework.

…build your knowledge

…test your knowledge

…apply your knowledge

You can use your KO workbook in a number of different ways, here are a few suggestions:

  • Copy out the information from a section of the KO to learn it
  • Write out the keywords, then without looking at your KO see if you can write out the definitions (or the other way around)
  • Study a section of the KO then cover and write down as much information as you can remember
  • Make revision cards
  • Build a creative mind map to show connections, definitions and examples.

Homework

Your teachers may refer you to specific areas of a Knowledge Organiser for homework. This might be to:

  • Learn and revise information
  • Apply what you have learnt in a new way
  • Go into reading or App links the KO
